Oodles of Noodles

About my Design

When instructed to create an informative character animation in Adobe After Effects, I knew I wanted to lean into something playful and rooted in my interests. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, and the idea that different pasta shapes can actually enhance certain sauces is something many people overlook. This video breaks that information down into quick, approachable explanations while giving each noodle a personality that matches its form.

To support the concept, I designed an accompanying logo as if this were the first episode in a larger series. I used a noodle-like font and manipulated the letterforms into a whimsical wordmark. The color palette draws directly from ingredients such as yellow, orange, cream, brown, and green, with a pop of bold blue for contrast. These choices helped create a cheerful, flavorful visual identity that ties the whole piece together.
